The Perez family reached out to Dick Durbin and his staff responded, providing a glimmer of hope for the family. Our hope is that a unified plea will swiftly prompt politicians to lead the case in bringing Adixon home. Please help us get the word out; make a call, write a letter, send an email and tweet (see sample letter below).

Subject/ Email Tagline: Adixon David Perez Briceno; Immigration Case CRS2018726006
To the Honorable ___________,
I am very concerned about the Colombian consulate’s recent decision on December 04, 2019, to reject Adixon David Perez Briceno’s visa application under the accusation of fraud. He has never lied to a government official in his 15 years here in the U.S. or committed fraud. He is not allowed to reapply for residency for another ten years.
Adixon Perez is a husband and father to two U.S.-born citizen children. He is a pastor and friend in our community. Not only has he proven to be of good moral character but inspires those around him to imitate the same. The recent consulate decision has separated a beloved family and far removed a respected member of our community.
Adixon Perez should not be in limbo abroad with no family connections. This unfair decision has prevented him from reuniting with his family here in the U.S. and also imposes the impossibility of returning to his birth country of Venezuela due its unrelenting humanitarian crisis.

I am asking that his case be reviewed at the highest level and that the consulate decision be reversed without the need for filing an additional waiver. Your attention and representation of this matter is of utmost urgency and importance.

Yours sincerely,

donate.
